Booking Periods: Full weeks – Saturday to Saturday. Arrival time is 4pm onwards, checkout time is by 10am. Telephone or e-mail reservations will be held for 7 days only pending receipt of the deposit and booking form.

Charges and Terms

A non-returnable deposit of 50% and completed booking form must be received within 7 days of the reservation otherwise the dates will be released.

The balance of the cost of the holiday is payable 6 weeks before arrival. We reserve the right to cancel a holiday where full payment has not been received 28 days before the commencement date. Cancellation within 28 days will result in the full charge being payable. We will use our reasonable endeavours to re-let cottages following cancellation and you will be credited with the net value of the re-letting. We strongly recommend cancellation insurance. We reserve the right ourselves to cancel any booking after giving notice to you in the event that we are unable to let the accommodation booked for reasons beyond our reasonable control. In these circumstances we will only be liable for the return of the money received. You must ensure that the accommodation offered will meet your requirements.

Damage and Breakages

All damage and breakages caused during your occupancy are your responsibility and their cost shall be payable on demand. You are expected to take reasonable care of the property and its contents whilst in your occupation.

Party size

In no circumstances may more than the maximum number of persons as stated in the brochure for the cottage occupy the property (except for babies in cots). Brook House Farm reserve the right to refuse or revoke any bookings from parties, which in their opinion be unsuitable for the property concerned. Brook House Farm reserves the right to refuse bookings from parties consisting solely of young adults.

Payment

Sterling cheques should be made payable to R.A & A Gough and son.

Pets

We do not allow pets.

Smoking

The cottage is non-smoking.

Bed linen and towels

All bed linen, tea towels and personal towels are included in the holiday price but no bedding is provided for the cot.

Electricity and oil

All electricity and oil is included in the charge.

Liability

Care must be taken by all guests, at all times. Parents are advised to ensure that children are accompanied by an adult to ensure that when children are near our animals and farm equipment they are safe and not left unattended. We do not accept responsibility for any damage or loss of guests’ property, cars or contents and you agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from and against all actions claims costs and proceedings (including responsible legal fees incurred in defending the same) arising from your acts or omissions (and those in your party) whilst on our premises.

Upon leaving

Before your arrival, the cottage will have been thoroughly cleaned. You are requested to leave the cottage as far as possible in the condition that you would like to find it. Brook House Farm reserves the right to make a charge if the equipment is left in an excessively dirty condition.
